Introducing Hand Made Bridal Garters - Plus Size by Karen Reta

vintage treasure 2As wedding season approaches all brides start the hunt for a beautiful garter. Sounds simple but it never is. Most garters are made one size fits all. If you are a plus size shopper you will know that one size never fits all.
Karen Reta has created this line of gorgeous garters just for the curvy gals. The styles are soft and romantic using gorgeous materials, laces and ribbons. She carefully hand makes each piece.
The first design above  is called Vintage Treasure. It is made from vintage silk and coffee died for a soft, warm, antique look. The light lace drops below the silk band for a soft skirted effect. Two ribbon roses complete the romantic garter.

Plus Size Beauties from the Past

I adore Vintage lingerie. I don't know if it is the styles of the lingerie or the photographs themselves. There is such an innocence of the times there. I can see a sophistication and worldliness in the photos yet it still has innocence.

I admire the time given to adding details just for pure enjoyment. The details and adornment serve no purpose except to please. The fabrics available were so limited at the time. I admire the innovative use of simple materials to create complicated undergarments.

Enjoy a little stroll through history with these women captured in time. I can't help wondering who  they were and what their lives were about. These are some of my favorite old pictures......
